What is a One-Rep Max (1RM)?
Your one-rep max (1RM) is the maximum amount of weight you can lift for a single repetition of a given exercise. It's a common measure of strength in weight training and powerlifting. Knowing your 1RM is useful for designing training programs and tracking progress, as many programs base their intensity on percentages of your 1RM.
